What can you expect when your young baby grows?

Dear parents, I can definitely imagine how EXCITING AND HAPPY you are to welcome your little baby into your lovely family👶🏻 .

Well, he/she is definitely excited to grow together with you. But, how much do you understand about them whilst you have been so seasoned with your current environment compared to these little ones?

Fortunately, we are lucky enough because we have the experts showing us how do your little babies grow from infancy to adolescence in many aspects, and we call this as the child development.

In fact, child development is actually a fundamental and also important part of human development.

Child development is basically about how a child grows along the process, acquiring different skills to survive and shine in this fascinating world!

Now, what’s next? We shall look into the main FIVE categories on how the experts observe and evaluate a child’s growth.

The main five categories are:

1. Physical Development

Physical development is basically divided into gross motor skills and fine motor skills. Gross motor skills are the skills that require big muscles with gross movements.

Fine motor skills are the skills that require small muscle movements with coordination of eyes.

2. Intellectual Development

Intellectual development is also known as cognitive development too where you will see how your child learns problem-solving skills, creative thinking with the curiosity to ask why when and how.

3. Language Development

Imagine how difficult for your child to express his or her thinking and feelings if he or she has limited vocabulary and understanding of languages? Which leads us to put language development in a very important position.Language development is a crucial part of your child’s overall development. It supports your child’s ability to express and understand feelings verbally with the correct usage of language and vocabulary.

4. Emotional Development

Children start to develop emotional recognition through their social experiences, with the happenings and people around them. They will gradually develop the ability to learn different positive and negative emotions through their experiences, and eventually develop positive qualities such as empathy towards others. Children will need to develop the ability to manage their own feelings and emotions so that they could build a positive self-image with confidence.

5. Social Development

Social development among children can only happen when there’s communication between the child, the people around them and a supportive environment that encourages the freedom to socialize and communicate. This refers to how children gain different communication skills to develop healthy relationships with people around them by carrying themselves as an individual in a community.

Now, you have understood your baby’s growth development. Appreciate all the tiny moments because they grow really fast!
